Cooking Class in Thailand
I recently traveled to Thailand. I was looking for a cooking class in Thailand Bangkok. I came across one that was so wonderful I had to share it with you. You see a great trip is about an experience that changes you. I believe that cooking has the power to make people happy. It is also your opportunity to share your journey with someone who wasn’t able to come with you.
Cooking in Thailand
The Cooking Class in Thailand started with an authentic trip to the market. It was a really eye opening experience. You will see live animals in cages and the smells aren’t pleasant. The people however, in true Thai fashion were friendly and helpful. I was grateful for my tour. I learned a lot about the local culture and the diverse foods that are a part of the culture in Thailand.
The Cooking with Poo experience lasted several hours. It was well worth the time. Poo shared her family and her neighborhood with her students. The recipes were easy to follow and the set up wasn’t complicated. The prep work was done prior to coming to the experience. You can book your class online and you can view the menus so you know what you are going to cook. Poo is also willing to accommodate for different food allergies if told in advance.
We made a Green Curry , Red Curry, and a Pad Thai. They were all awesome. In fact they were so good when I got back to the states I made them for my family.
We cooked the three wonderful meals which we ate during our class then we received my new favorite dessert Mango and sticky rice.
We were also offered a wide variety of the fruits to try.
I think my favorite part of the experience is I was able to take what I learned home and cook for my friends and family. I believe a trip is a beautiful way to expand what you know and invite others on your journey one bite at a time.
If you are in Thailand and going to Bankok I would highly suggest the Cooking with Poo cooking class. It is the only cooking class in Thailand that I would attend. You can register for the class at http://www.cookingwithpoo.com/ it was very reasonably priced and a priceless experience.
