Gulf Coast places to vacation with kids!
As you know, I was on a vacation (Brandcation) with 24 other bloggers a couple of weekends ago. We had the pleasure of vacationing at Emeralde Grande in Destin, Fl. It definitely a stay here, play here kind of place. Even though we didn’t have our kids with us, it is a kid friendly vacation spot without breaking the bank. Most of the activities are fun things that the whole entire family can enjoy! Starting out, there is a complimentary beach shuttle courtesy of Emerald Grande. It was about a 20 minute ride on the boat to Norriego Point. The shuttle runs every half hour, so you can stay as long or as little as you want. There are refreshments on the beach and you can relax, swim or play in the sand. There are beach chairs and umbrellas to keep you comfortable.
Now, if you aren’t into sitting at the beach all day, then how about some wave runners, para sailing, pontoon boat or glass bottom boat? Boogies Water Sports has a bunch of fun stuff to do.
Another fun thing to do while vacationing on the Gulf Coast for the entire family is the Buccaneer Pirate Cruise. We went on the adult only cruise on Friday night but they have family friendly cruises also. I can’t wait to go back with my grandson. He would absolutely love it. Real live canon’s were firing off and they have planned activities for you to participate in.
Also available to do from KittyHawk Kites is Paddleboarding, Kayaking and Kiting.
If you want to head down the road, there is an awesome water park to go to, Big Kahunas! WE were supposed to spend the day there but unfortunately we got rained out. We are hoping to go the next time we travel to Destin. There is something for everyone, from rides and slides, waves rivers and pools, kiddie area, adventure park and dining and snack areas.
If you just want to relax, you can hang out around the pool, where the kids can play, catch the train through the HarborWalk Village or even do some panning.
Also available is Snorkeling and Snuba with Destin Snorkel, Dolphin Cruises, which we saw while going out to snorkel and so much more.
