Romantic Getaway in Destin, Florida

Sometimes you want to getaway even if only for a weekend. Whether it’s to put the spark back in your love life or just to spend some time alone together, Destin, Florida is the perfect place to do just that! Destin, Florida is located on the Gulf Coast in the panhandle of Florida.

We have visited Destin a couple times and Newman-Dailey at DestinVacation.com,  has many “hideaways” so to speak in order to accommodate your needs. We had the pleasure of staying in a Crystal Village Townhouse. It was just my husband and myself, but it can sleep up to 6. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a washer and dryer and all the conveniences of home.

 

Destin

 

We had a relaxing couple days and just enjoyed each other’s company. We headed down to the beach, which is just a short walk down the road, to watch the sunset. The sunsets in Destin are breathtaking and no matter how many times I have seen them, it is definitely a sight I love to see. It is so beautiful, that I had a canvas picture made with it.

Another sight I love to see are the Dolphins. Every now and then, you can catch a glimpse of them out in the water playing.

There are many restaurants that are also close by and you can walk to. I enjoy the restaurants that are right on the beach, like Pompano Joes.  Known for their Caribbean Style Seafood, they also have non-seafood items available.

Although we didn’t get to visit some of the other local attractions on this trip, we definitely will on our next visit.

  • Track Family Recreation Center
  • Buccaneer Pirate Cruise
  • Parasailing
  • Jet Skiing
  • Local Shops
  • Gulfarium

And so much more! Those should keep you busy for awhile. I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea. The mornings are just as beautiful as the sunsets. I think I could get used to living right on the Gulf Coast, there is no doubt about that. But for now, we will just continue to visit on a regular basis.
