Fall is a great time of the year here in the south, and it my favorite season! Every year, me and my family head off to our favorite Pumpkin Patch, Walden Farms! Walden Farms is a great local farm that sets up a family-friendly event every year for the whole town. Not only can you go pick out great pumpkins, gourds, and corn, you can also take a hayride or go through a corn maze and much more! Walden Farms is free to get into, and their pumpkins are reasonably priced (anywhere from $3-$10) and the activities are priced well for any family size!

Here are some of my favorite things they offer at Walden Farms:

The Photo opps! I’m a HUGE photo booth, photo props, photos in generals person. I make my family take all kinds of funny pictures everywhere we go, so I love when places have great photo opps. Walden Farms had great places to take family photos everywhere around the farm, and they make great memories!

The Learning Opportunities! I love places that let my 5 year old not only have fun, but learn too! Walden Farms had a great area of the farm where the kids could play “A day in the life of a farmer” Here they could “milk” cows, pick apples, collect chicken eggs, and more! It was also a great place for the parents to sit down and relax, and let their kids burn some energy!

The Rides! It’s always fun to ride rides! Walden Farms offers a pumpkin train and a hayride! Both are an extra charge, but it’s well worth the $2. It’s all family friendly, so nothing is scary, all fun! Both are a big hit with the kids, and it’s a great way to start or end the great trip!

And my favorite thing about Walden Farms is…

The Pumpkins! Of course the best thing about a pumpkin patch are the pumpkins right? Walden Farms has pumpkins in every size and shape, and they even have a field of mini pumpkins that are perfect for your kids! All the pumpkins are grown right on the farm, and are priced from $2 for the minis, up to $10 for the HUGE pumpkins!

So the next time you are looking for a great pumpkin patch while in Tennessee make sure you check out Walden Farms!!
