Great food and fun at Dixie Stampede!
If you are looking for a great place for some family fun, and awesome food while vacationing in Pigeon Forge, TN, then you have to plan a visit to Dixie Stampede! Dixie Stampede is a full dinner show attraction, with non stop entertainment from the minuet you enter the building. This was one of my little girls favorite parts of our Pigeon Forge vacation, and one of mine as well! The Dixie Stampede Dinner and Show involves live animals, dramatic lighting effects, incredible sounds and exciting pyrotechnics! And not to mention, the food was awesome.
So what were some of my family’s favorite parts of the Dixie Stampede?
The Staff- Everyone at Dixie Stampede were awesome! They all made sure that our whole family (and everyone else in attendance) were in the right place, had everything we needed, and most importantly, were having a great time! From the time we got our tickets, to the time we were walking out the door, the staff were all great! Special shot out to the awesome waitresses in the Saloon, you guys rocked that packed full room and made sure every single person was taken care of!
The Experience- From getting to see the horses pre show, to checking out the great gift shop after, the experience of Dixie Stampede is unlike any other! Before the dinner, everyone headed to the Saloon for fun drinks, snacks, and music! When you visit, I must insist that you don’t miss the Preshow! It was so fun to snack on some popcorn, drink out of our boot cups, and listen to some awesome live bluegrass music while we waited for the dinner to begin. After the Preshow we headed into the dinner arena and found our seats. I love the way they had it set up, there was not 1 bad seat, you could see everything from anywhere!
The Food- The food was a-maze-ing! You are served a 4-course feast along with drinks. There was no silverware, so that was kind of fun as well! Here is what is on the menu:
- A Mouth-Watering Tender Whole Rotisserie Chicken (SO good!)
- Delicious Hickory Smoked Barbecued Pork Loin
- Dixie Stampede’s Original Creamy Vegetable Soup (The best soup I think I have ever had!)
- Scrumptious Homemade Biscuit
- Hot Buttered Corn on the Cob
- Tasty Herb-basted Potato
- Dixie’s very own Specialty Dessert
- Unlimited Pepsi®, tea or coffee
I know, it’s a lot of food, but don’t worry, they offer doggie bags for whatever you can’t finish!
The Show- Last but not least, the show was great! Once the show starts you are no longer allowed to take photos or videos, which is fine because I didn’t want to spoil the surprises for you anyways! But it is a friendly North Vs South competition with horse tricks, pig races, lots of laugh, and southern belles! We were seated on The South side, and we won that night! My daughter loved waving her flag and cheering our team on! If you have kids, you have to come see this show, they will love it! Even if you don’t have kids, you will still love it!
