Where to Eat Breakfast In Charlottesville

Did you know your life will be better if you eat breakfast? I believe this is the truth and every chance I get to have a sit-down breakfast in Charlottesville I do! I made it my mission to try every place I could so you do not have to. I mean why waste your time or money on a bad meal.

The Best Breakfast in Charlottesville

MarieBette Café & Bakery-

I have lived in the area for years. I had no idea this gem existed the biggest problem isn’t it isn’t big enough, and neither is my stomach. I couldn’t decide what to eat because there were so many choices. I had a cup of their homemade raspberry hot chocolate with fresh marshmallows. Then I consumed without regard for manners their Croque Madame with Ham, Gruyère, Béchamel, and Fried Egg. If that wasn’t enough my friend and I ordered the ham and potatoes. She had the stuffed french toast topped with chocolate. It was heaven on the plate. The meal came in at $50 with tip, but we did order two meals, Two fancy beverages, and side. It was worth it, and I would do it again!

Tip Top Resturant

I can’t say that I have been for dinner, but I have been for breakfast on many occasions. The food is diner style food, and the waitstaff is always happy. It is an excellent meal at a reasonable price.  It reminds me of going back in time and enjoying the diners of yesterdays. I love their corncakes, Greek omelet, and french toast.

If you like Brunch here is your place:

The Fitz Roy

The best brunch in Charlottesville. We went there for our anniversary. The food was most watering. The atmosphere was chic, and the prices were fair all you can eat for just $18. I can tell you that the chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits reminded me of New Orleans. I was prepared to move in, but the bench seating didn’t look comfortable enough for sleep. I highly suggest The Fitz Roy it was incredible.

Duck Donuts– Duck Donuts is a beloved donut chain that was welcomed to shops at Stonefield about three years ago.  The genius behind Duck donuts is that they make plain donuts and then you, the customer can customize the flavor.  You can get various types of icing, for example, maple, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and lemon.  Then you can add powdered sugar or cinnamon. They create seasonal flavors like pumpkin and let’s not forget the popular maple bacon.  Not only can you get donuts, but you can get delicious flavored coffees and various other beverages.  Have a seat inside to enjoy your freshly made donut while it’s warm or grab a dozen to take home and put a smile on someone’s face!

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts– If you see the light on you pull in for those melt in your mouth doughnuts. You will not be disappointed with their original glazed doughnuts. They are warm and light they taste like air. I will tell you that once you start your first, you will grab your second.

The Blue Grass Grill– Grab your checkbook or bring cash credit cards are not welcome but big appetites are. I couldn’t decide what to order because everything sounded wonderful. I, of course, ordered the shrimp and grits while my friend ordered the honey roll with cinnamon. She also ordered has which was a great mix of corn beef and potatoes. I will say my shrimp and grits were good but needed bacon on top to move it from an 8 to a 10. I guess I am a firm believer that bacon makes everything better. The Blue Grass Grill was worth the wait, worth going to the atm and even worth parking in the garage which they did validate.
