Come Fly with me at Flyaway Indoor Skydiving in Pigeon Forge, TN!
*I received a free skydive in exchange for this review from the wonderful people at MyPigeonForge.com, all thoughts and opinions are my own!
Fun Fact about me, I am in a family full of skydivers! My husband has jumped over 160 times himself! My little girl has been heading to the drop zone with us since before she could walk, and has been asking when she would be able to skydive. My daughter is 5, and has quite a long time until she will be able to jump out of a plane with Daddy, so she was absolutely thrilled when she found out that we had the chance to go check out Flyaway Indoor Skydiving in beautiful Pigeon Forge, TN!
Flyaway Indoor Skydiving is located right on the main street in Pigeon Forge, and is a must visit for anyone that ever wanted to experience what skydiving would be like! People of all ages are able to take a flight, starting at 40 pounds! The youngest person that has flown there was only 3 years old!
Here is how our experience at Flyaway Indoor Skydiving went:
When you first enter Flyaway Indoor Skydiving you are greeted by the friendly staff and you check in with them. Once your payment is made, you head upstairs and sit through a 20 minute class educating you about the experience, and how to stay safe! If you have a little one wanting to fly, make sure they are mature enough to pay attention to their instructor to make the experience safe, and fun!
After your class (and a wavier!) you get suited up! You will slip into a wing suit, goggles, ear plugs, a helmet, and a face mask. Jaiden as very excited to learn that they had a bright pink flight suit for her!
This was our flight instructor, Jeremiah. He was awesome with my little one, and really made sure we were well informed and comfortable before she ever stepped foot into the wind tunnel!
After the process of getting ready, it was time to fly! She was sent into the wind tunnel with her flight instituter and they practiced the proper way to fall. After he was satisfied that she could safety fall correctly it was time to start the wind!
My little girl was airborne for 1 minute 30 seconds and had a great time! The wind tunnel was surrounded by large windows so I was able to watch the entire thing, and the smile on her face when it was over! Here is a video I took of her flight:
