Best Restaurants in Gwinnett County Georgia

Pack your bags and your stretchy pants and head out to Gwinnett, Georgia. Seriously, the next time you are planning to go to Atlanta, head to Gwinnett instead. I mean it. The food was exceptional. It was so good and I learned so much that I have come home and made some of the dishes we ate.

It may be me but do you also believe love lives on a plate? I was raised that love is making someone a meal that fills them from the inside out. That mentality is alive and well in Korean culture. The generosity in portions, quality of the meat, and the attention to detail were notable. I also learned you were responsible for taking care of the person’s drink across from you and the oldest person at the table traditionally pays. I was most surprised that some of the side items were those that I would have at my home like macaroni salad. So check out the Best Restaurants in Gwinnett County Georgia that we’ve tried. Also, see my list of What to Do in Gwinnett County Georgia because, we visited a lot of interesting places.

Top Restaurants in Gwinnett County Georgia

9292 Korean BBQ – What can I say except start here. This was exceptional and the fact that you can buy an unlimited meal would have my husband satisfied for weeks and most likely talking about this for months. I should disclose I sent my husband here when he was in Atlanta on business and he was extremely pleased. He travels the world and has been to more restaurants that I can count. He plans to go back in the future although I did tell him there were some other fantastic choices in Gwinnett, Georgia. The meat was tender and tasty and the sides were legendary.

Jang Su Jang (“The Meeting Place”) is the go-to place of people who want authentic Korean food. It has been serving the greater Atlanta area for over a decade.  I can see why this feels like you are in your Korean grandmother’s kitchen. I couldn’t help myself. I kept eating. You have no idea how hard that was because we had been eating all day but the flavors were so expertly layered and the meals were delicious. This would be the place that I could settle in and fuel my soul.

A delightful Korean bakery and cafe with a beautiful interior. You know I love baked goods. I hadn’t had Korean ones before but I have certainly had them since.

The cookies were so good like slices of heaven in your mouth. I also enjoyed their sweet and savory bread. I can’t imagine how many times a day I would have to go to the gym if I lived near this bakeshop since I would have zero self-control.

Maple Street Biscuits

You can plainly see for the photos why this is a must stop.

The flaky biscuits and delightful combinations of savory and sweet food items were a must. I enjoyed the scene and the fun vibe while eating a meal that no one had to remind me to clear my plate. I may have done that thing where you eat every crumb. This is must stop for breakfast and then you can take a walk around. It was absolutely charming.

Harue (Korean Street Food)

If you would have told me I would be eating fried chicken with finger gloves. I would have told you that you are nuts. I thought I was crazy too. However, the chicken was so good I would have worn a full bodysuit if it was a requirement to get more. The selection, prices, and food quality would make this a place I bring my family, grab lunch, bring home a meal and hide and eat by myself.

Paris Baguette Bakery

I bet you are thinking why is she in another bakery after all she ate the day before. I call it a job responsibility in reality. I love sweet treats. The pastry and cookies here didn’t disappoint. The pastries were like a warm sunset when you first sit down in your pool chair. You relax into and you savor the complete bliss. This was as good as those stolen moments.

DOSHI

Korean/Japanese Fusion Seafood Dinner at Doshi – I had the best sushi and sashimi in my life. I am not sure what else to say. If you are going anywhere but here you are missing out. The food presentation, complimentary dishes, service, and meals were 5 stars. I can’t imagine why anyone would go anywhere else in Gwinett. They fly in their catches everything is authentic and seriously let me repeat this it was the best I have ever had.

If you would have told me a couple of months ago Gwinnett Georgia had fantastic Korean food I would have laughed at you. Not only did I eat exceptional food while in Gwinnett I also learned how to cook Korean food at home. I am still talking about the meals I ate and that my friends is a sign of how good they were!
