As a lifetime Michigander, I have visited Frankenmuth many times but until recently I had never stayed at the Bavarian Inn. I was recently offered a discounted stay and took advantage of the opportunity to plan a little get away with my daughter, mom and husband. Since I homeschool, we planned this for during the week when it would be less busy and would work better with our schedule. My daughter had asked to have a little getaway instead of a birthday present so I was happy to oblige. The days we went up were very cold as this has been an unusual winter for Michigan. The first day we did not tour Frankenmuth but settled in at our hotel and set to exploring the great fun that is inside because the Bavarian Inn has water slides, multiple pools and more.

During the two days we stayed, we were able to relax by the pool, enjoy some family friendly competition during Miniature Golf, and eat delicious food. We had a standard 2 bed guest room with a patio overlooking the grounds. It had plenty of room for 3 adults and a child. I loved the desk that allowed me to get some work done in between family time. The beds were comfortable and we didn’t feel like we were stepping on each other which can sometimes happen in hotel rooms.
There is great signage thru out the Bavarian Inn so that getting lost will not happen. I loved the fact that we could stay inside and enjoy a great family vacation without ever stepping outside. Yet it is right in downtown Frankenmuth so that when you want to get out and explore you are only moments away. There is one thing that topped off our whole trip was that every employee of the Bavarian Inn we came into contact with was super pleasant, eager to make sure our stay was going well, and had a smile on their face. This fact alone makes we eager to book another stay because the friendliness of staff is always a big part of how well a stay is.
