Visit Thomas the Tank Engine! The Go Go Thomas Tour 2013
Do your kids love Thomas the Tank Engine? If you’re looking for a fun summer activity, consider spending a Day out with Thomas, even if you’re on vacation!! He’s making several stops throughout the US so you’re bound to catch him! The kids will enjoy time with Thomas, Sir Topham Hatt, playing at the Imagination Station and riding a 25 minute train ride! Ticket prices are $18 plus tax for ages 2 and up (service charges and fee may apply).
We visited the location in Connersville In. and absolutely had a blast! There are just so many fun things for the kids to do! I found out about the Thomas tour through some other blogger friends so I was eager to get more information since our little guy is such a fan! Because the railway was a couple hours away, I had to make some plans for the trip there! I don’t know about you, but I find that kids get pretty restless when riding for more than an hour. Since we had 3 kids in the car I brought along a few things. Some snack bars, juice pouches, and a variety of toys and games. My son loves his Vtech Innotab so we made sure to bring that too! The folks at the railway station were super helpful. They all wear t-shirts that say STAFF on the back so you can easily find them and ask any questions. The station had different tents set up for their Imagination Station where the kids play, a tent for shopping all things Thomas (fun tent!), a Storytelling tent, and several others. When you arrive to pick up your tickets, you’ll receive a paper that requires 4 stamps. You get a stamp for each tent you visit and once you get all 4 stamps – you’ll get a cute little prize for the kids!!
Make sure to bring a camera or cellphone to snap several photos! These will be memories that will last your child a lifetime! I also suggest bringing along sunscreen, snacks, juice boxes or pouches and pb&j sandwiches or something filling. They do have food at the booths, but like most events…they’re pricey! You can splurge on some lemon shakeups, popcorn, or an elephant ear!! I also recommend wearing comfy shoes and bring a totebag to carry stuff in!! One last thing…bring a stroller if your kids are small! They have a stroller parking tent that you can leave it at while you’re riding on the train.
