HalloWeekends Fun at Cedar Point
Family Fun, Frights and More at Cedar Point HalloWeekends
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to visit Cedar Point while I was attending a conference. My husband and daughter tagged along to keep me company but I think it had more to do with HalloWeekends at Cedar Point.
This was our first time attending HalloWeekends and I cannot believe that we have never attended before. I had always avoided it when my kids were younger because I thought there was only fun for older kids and adults. That is not the case. Cedar Point provides fun for the whole family at HalloWeekends.
Family Friendly Activities are offered Saturdays and Sundays during HalloWeekends.
Besides all the great rides that kids already enjoy they can partake in the following kid approved activities: Planet Spooky, Monster Midway Invasion (Parade), Howl A Pa-loo-za, Costume Competition, Magic House on Boo Hill and Trick or Treat with the Dinosaurs (Separate admission required for Trick or Treat with the Dinosaurs).
The kids will also enjoy seeing their favorite Peanuts Gang Characters dressed in their Halloween Costumes.
Bigger Kids and Adults will enjoy the daytime activities but revel in the Haunted Evening Hours at Halloweekends.
This year they have added a new Haunt – Zombie High School. This was my daughters first time ever going in a haunted house and after carefully placing herself between my husband and I she was ready. Well this may not be something for your older child, I can say that is more “Startle” and “Shock” than Blood, Guts and Gore.
We weren’t able to visit them all but we also enjoyed giving ourselves a scare at Eden Musse Wax Museum, Manical Mechanical Screamworks, Eternity Infirmary, Erie Estate, Cut Throat Cove, and Blood on the Bayou.
The indoor Haunted Houses do open during daylight hours while any outside Haunted attractions do not open until 6 PM.
