Blue Bend Recreational Area
Blue Bend Recreational Area
Looking for a nice place to cool down this summer while in the southeastern part of the state? Just off of Rt. 92 in the Monongahela National Forest, outside of White Sulphur Springs, is a nice spot for a picnic, camping, fishing, hiking or swimming. The deep, blue-green, water of Anthony Creek is so cool and refreshing and feels wonderful on the hottest of summer days. Very family and pet friendly, yet remote. It’s a nice place to go with children who like to explore dry creek beds and find fossils, hike in the woods and swim. With no lifeguard on duty, you do swim at your own risk. There are flushable toilets in the campground area but the areas near picnic shelters and the swimming have only outdoor toilets with no running water.
Cool off this summer at the Blue Bend Recreational Area!
