The best thing you can do to plan a wonderful trip to Thailand is be prepared. Thailand travel trips for booking your hotel and much more.

I am about to go on a trip to Thailand. I can’t tell you how excited I am. I actually have a friend in Thailand so I face timed her to get some great tips from her that I would like to share with you.

Thailand Travel Tips: Currency

The trip to Thailand is a long flight.  Do not forget prior to leaving the airport to exchange your currency.  This is the best place to do so. It is not easy to find places to exchange currency and you will need cash to pay for cabs, vendors, and tip. Currency in Thailand is called Thai Baht.

Thailand Travel Tips:  Luggage Suggestions

You will need to take a taxi from the airport just use one of the taxis in the line it should cost you around $10.00. If you use a service or a driver it will cost you three times as much. She suggests taking the 30-40 minute ride to Bangkok and staying in this area because it is the safest. She also suggests traveling light. You will spend a great deal of time carrying your luggage especially if you are going to beach areas that requires a boat to take you to the island. They can only get you so close the rest of the way you will have to get out of the boat with your luggage and walk.

I would suggest buying this travel backpack instead of a traditional suitcase. You can roll it when walking in the airport and then use it as a backpack if you are walking to get to your hotel.

Thailand Travel tips: Don’t Drink the water

Once you arrive in Thailand remember to not drink the water. That means even when brushing your teeth. She says that bottled water is readily available so use that.  You could also bring a water bottle like mine. I always carry my S’well bottle.  She also suggested refraining from eating form most street food vendors so you do not end up with Thai Tummy.

Thailand Travel Tip: Pack an outlet converter

You will also need to bring with you 220 outlet converters for your devices.

The best thing you can do to plan a wonderful trip to Thailand is be prepared. You should visit the Chatuchak market on Saturday or Sunday. It is important to plan your trip ahead of time and if you are going to the beaches look for flights using Thai Airways or Air Asia since they offer the best prices. I hope you have a great time. I am now going to pick out some new light weight luggage and a backpack for my trip. Lucky me, Amazon is having an awesome sale on luggage right now!
