Travel Cheap Deals: Save On Travel With Groupon, Living Social, etc.

When my family and I travel, we always try to find the best travel cheap deals possible on lodging, food and entertainment and that’s where sites like Groupon, Living Social and Trip Advisor come in.
My husband, Clay, and I plan several trips to the Smoky Mountains each year. Before we book our trip, we check out Groupon and Living Social as well as the cabin rental sites we love and Trip Advisor. The cabin rental sites often have monthly or seasonal specials on their cabin stays. And if you are planning a last minute trip, many have amazing last minute deals. Trip Advisor also offers many last minute deals on cabin rentals, chalets, hotels and motels. You can input the dates of your planned vacation, the type of lodging you are looking for and any amenities you want and it will bring up a list of available options.
For entertainment and attractions, we use Groupon and Living Social. You can find really great travel deals for large destinations like trips to Mexico, cruises and overseas trips. But you can also find local deals for places like zoos, Bowling, movie theaters,, Ripleys type attractions and more. We found a really great Groupon deal to the Circle G Ranch Drive-Thru Safari in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee and purchased it several different times. We also purchased a Groupon to the Rainforest Adventures in Pigeon Forge. Our family really enjoyed seeing all the animals.
We also took advantage of a Valvoline Oil Change deal they recently had so we could get our oil changed before we went on vacation and not spend a ton of money doing so. I found a good deal on Living Social this week for Carrabbas so if we want to eat there when on vacation in stead of using the kitchen in our cabin, we can save money and enjoy a great meal. I love that there are so many different travel cheap deals available.
For both Groupon and Living Social, you can sign up for daily/weekly newsletters and they will email you the newest deals for all of the cities you select. So if there is an area you travel to often, like we do, or if you have an upcoming trip to a specific area or even your own town, you can receive notices of new deals in those areas! This is a great way to save money on your travel!
