Harmony Creek Junction: A West Virginia Band
Harmony Creek Junction
Yet another fine example of the talent that resides in these West Virginia hills! From Greenbrier County, the five-piece bluegrass band Harmony Creek Junction is touring venues around West Virginia this summer. Included in the tour are Carnegie Hall, The Greenbrier Resort, The State Fair of West Virginia, The Alderson 4th of July Celebration, and this morning on WVVA’s morning show.
The band was established in 2009 through a class at Greenbrier East High School and the five young men have been playing together since. All members attend college so the summer is their best opportunity to tour the state and share their harmonious gift with others. Brennan Wood attends West Virginia University, majoring in Music and in Exercise Physiology/Pre-Dental. Davis Wood also attends West Virginia University, majoring in Biology/Pre-Med. Garrett Sheppard attends International House of Prayer University in Kansas City, Missouri where he is studying Music with the intentions of becoming a full time worship leader. Brandon Collins attends Concord University, majoring in Education. Matt Mullens attends Marshall University, majoring in Guitar Performance.
They are a 5 piece bluegrass band that performs bluegrass, country, gospel, acapella, and other styles of music with a bluegrass feel.
