Animalz Retractable Headphones – a must have for travel with kids
Turn it down! I can’t hear! Mom can you fix this? My headphones are all tangled up and I can’t use them! Are these familiar cries coming from your backseat? Well they are frequently heard in our car. We travel to visit our family in PA on average every 6 weeks. It is a 5 hour car trip and with two children ages 4 and 9 we needed a solution to all the noise pollution in our car. With children that are 4.5 years apart in age they always want to watch a different movie so we have 2 portable DVD players. Ok one problem solved. We quickly realized however that we needed headphones for both of them otherwise they could not hear their movies and we could not think straight or concentrate on driving. First being the frugal person that I am , I gave them the free headphones that had been shoved in our carry on after our last flight. As you can guess those cheap headphones did not last long. So next we went out and bought licensed character headphones that were not cheap in an effort to encourage our boys to wear them. They stopped complaining about having to wear headphones but soon I was unable to relax in the car as I had to untangle headphone wires every single time the kids got into and out of the car. Seriously, I think they were trying to see who could make the biggest ball of tangled wires.
So now what? Well recently, we tried Animalz Retractable Headphones! Ahhhh finally peace and sanity while traveling with the children. No more tangled cords. The Animalz headphones have a cord that is retractable. It is so is easy to stow these away when we arrive at our destination and did I mention no more tangled cords!
Imagine each kid turning up the volume on their devices and me turning up the volume on the radio, louder and louder until no one can hear anything. When the lightbulb finally went off and we started using headphones the never ending battle of the loudest device was over. Except now I worried when I could still hear the sound coming from their headphones. Was it loud enough to hurt their ears? Animalz Retractable Headphones to the rescue again. They have built in volume limitors so the volume stays below 85 decibels which is considered safe for young developing ears. The volume is perfect, you can hear clearly and it is not too loud.
I would have paid anything to get a few minutes in the car where I could actually listen to my music without all the noise from movies and video games in the backseat. But Animalz are affordable and have a lifetime warranty so you don’t have to spend a lot to get a lot of quiet time in the car.
No more noise pollution, no more tangled cords, no more dangerously high sound volume, the only problem left to solve is which pairs of these adorable critters do you want to get for your kids. They come in 6 different styles but note the pandas and sharks are only available at Best Buy. My favorite is the Jam Bunneez but only because I live in an all boy household and they are pink! And you know I had to test them out myself. They were very comfortable, the sound was great, and I love the retractable cord.
